What Football Parents Need To Do

The following is a list of things that all football parents will need to get your child/children signed up for Minnetonka High School Football and to stay informed.

  1. Register for football through Minnetonka Athletics.
  2. Get a sports physical so eligible to play and can complete registration.
  3. Become a member of the Touchdown Club. (optional, but highly recommended)
  4. Volunteer to help with 3 or more of the many opportunities listed on Dibs.
  5. Follow Minnetonka Football on Twitter/Instagram/Facebook to keep up to date on information.
  6. Subscribe to the Tonka Football Calendar

1. REGISTER

Register for football through the Minnetonka Athletics School District. Fall Sports Registration will open on July 8th.

*Scholarship information is available online for free and reduced lunch students. The activity fee for football is $200 and the participation fee is $75. You can also contact Coach Esch with questions regarding scholarships.   mark.esch@minnetonkaschools.org

2. PHYSICAL

Get a sports physical so eligible to play and can complete registration. A physician, physician's assistants, or nurse practitioners also can do a sports physical and sign the required forms. The forms will need to be turned into the high school. Be sure to download the proper SPORTS form from the MHS Activities Registration Website:

Sports physicals are good for 3 years. 
In the past, Twin Cities Orthopedics has offered FREE sports physicals. Go to www.TCOmn.com/SportsPhysicals for information.

3. JOIN

Minnetonka Touchdown Club is a non-profit organization providing benefits to the Minnetonka High School Football program which supports over 200 student athletes.  Building and maintaining a championship team requires your support. Becoming a member allows the Touchdown Club to provide the following services to support the entire Skipper Football Program:

  • Uniforms and equipment replacement
  • Concussion testing for athletes
  • Additional coaches and coach training
  • New and improved football equipment
  • Updated technology
  • State of the art training facilities
  • Banquet and special events nights

4. VOLUNTEER

Volunteer to help with 3 or more of the many opportunities listed on Dibs. These opportunities include:

  • Study Table
  • Pre-Game Meals (Varsity Home Games)
  • Merchandise Sales
  • Concessions Workers
  • Working chains and/or markers at home games
  • Golf Tournament
  • Salt Sale Operations
  • End-of-Season Banquets
  • Senior Night
  • Many more!

5. SOCIAL MEDIA

Follow Minnetonka Football on Twitter/Instagram/Facebook to keep up to date on information. Many of the coaches post updates on their Twitter pages. Below is a list of the main Tonka Football Social Media Accounts.
